Quote: Sorry, I just didn't a chance to get back with you. I went through the eggs that were coming up, the only thing you were looking for was one OE (BCM x Araucana), but that was still a day or two off so I can't guarantee it will hatch. There no more marans coming up and the ones hatched were already probably a little old for adding to a broody.
When I go back down, I'll take another look at what is coming in case your broody is still sitting. I had your number in my pocket, just got swamped with master showmanship, the knowledge bowl and a few other tasks that were on my plate.
I can't even believe how big my ducklings have gotten, I don't know where I'm going to put them when I bring them home!

Changed my avatar. This is the new header image on my blog. I love her!

But I have calls at home, do you mind if they are pet/breeder quality birds? They'll be small, but their bills will be longer than you want on the show table. I got all my original calls from Holderreads.
Do I mind?!? My flock of chickens is an exercise in miscegenation. The ones at fair are pekins and runners. But I have calls at home, do you mind if they are pet/breeder quality birds? OR, give me a date and time for me to come by your place to buy some call ducklings from you....I can't even believe how big my ducklings have gotten, I don't know where I'm going to put them when I bring them home!
I have one call drake, about three years old. Elvis hasn't had a wife his size since Priscilla just disappeared shortly after we moved here. He has to compete with the Cayuga drakes for a girlfriend. Not only would I like a wife for Elvis, but some sister wives and maybe a couple brethren his size to make a small flock of their own. I don't know if that's important for calls....
