I'd say stay away from the Corian at all costs- my mom got counter with a seamless Corian sink and that thing was stained and scratched awfully within 6 months- and I know she is careful and keeps it clean.

Can you see this pattern? This is what I like.... Silestone brand Quartz. Pattern is a newly released pattern named siridium, and the sample at the store is much less uniform than the other samples of quartz. That is what attracted me to it - less uniform. I like the black (my glass stove top), the sorta aluminum flecks of color (stainless steel color like my appliances), and then the occasional splash of a rusty-reddish color (I would prefer a deep dark burgundy or reddish). I love little splashes of red - very rare and occasional.

Very pretty Kathy.

I needed to go a little lighter in my recent kitchen remodel, I chose black appliances and a black sink with fairly dark cherry cabinets. Well, my range is black/stainless

I just made some fresh butter. I have been getting fresh milk from the local Amish. I skim the cream and put it in a jar and shake it into butter! Now I have this butter milk ..... I want to find a recipe to use it in. My goal is to be less wasteful. Well, that is one of my goals.

Very pretty Kathy, I love the colors. As for the buttermilk, make biscuits! I'm so jealous of you getting fresh cows milk. I get goats milk. I can make cheese, but not butter. Speaking of cheese, you should make ricotta cheese. All you need is milk and lemon juice.

OMG, that butter is gorgeous, I'd be baking some bread right now and it would probably be gone!

Buttermilk, I'd go pancakes. I also have a great banana cake recipe with buttermilk.
