If we guess what mystery vegetable? Kathy ate - do we get a prize???

Can you tell me what this vegetable is that I just ate? It looked like a red potato. I started to peel it and realized it was not a tator. Inside was orange. It was bland and had a texture slightly like a turnip. Taste was very bland. What was it?

Red jewel yam - that's what it was! Mine was small and like "new potatoes," when you can almost just wipe off the skin to remove it. It was not thick skinned.

Kelly, I love kohlrabi, turnips, and the likes.

Mary, they could be having issues today. I even had trouble getting in the admin part this morning. Ladyhawk is the one who is on the horn with tech support, set all of this up except for inputting most of the items, so when she gets back from the hospital (yucky tests today), if you're still having issues, we'll see what we can do for that. She is the main admin. In the meantime, I think you can look around the site, just not post or comment until you register. Sorry about the delay!

I have 2 that I've never used.   My step dad gave them to me and they are seasoned.  They are so heavy and I'm afraid it would scratch my glass cooktop.

Try cooking with them in a wood stove, switching to a stove lol lets just say it was a steep learning curve!!
