We finished our Black Beans, Spanish Rice and Corn Bread and now it is all washed and put away.

I'm here now. A neighbor stopped over, brought us some meatballs in a sweet barb-a-que sauce, a big dish of potatoes with a crust to put on the last 5 minutes of cooking and an apple pie. I love our neighbors ! The husband and 3 kids brought it, they were with there mini pony pulling the mini cart. I wish I could have gotten a picture.

Most of our neighbors are Amish, they "clone" themselves. Lots of children around.

I made stew last night - it was the best stew I've ever made. I modified a recipe I found, it didn't call for potatoes though, so I made focaccia bread to go with it. I actually liked it without the potatoes. The meat was super tender.
