Oh no Mahonri, I saw it. I was just not going to comment out of courtesy.

Gee, THANKS... I guess!!!! I just had too many Icelandic broodies and too many trips to the feed store and too many trips to Queen Creek... and...

I even shipped some to my brother who was stationed in WY and then CA, since he was a huge fan and couldn't find any.

It's funny when you find those things you just can't get anywhere else. I used to date a Brit, and he was always bringing me a supply of malt loaf. Toasted with a ton of melted butter, yum! Nothing like it, maybe one of those slightly acquired tastes (but nothing like vegamite or something

). I can find Golden Syrup here now, but still no source for malt loaf..............hmmmm, might need to do an internet search.

On the other hand, I couldn't bring myself to like Wheatabix...............ick!

Speaking of which...............any of you southerners have a source for real sorghum? DH loves it and you can't find it out here.

Our Walmart, Target, etc. stocks Nutella. But I wait till one of the smaller grocery chains offers it for 1.49 or so and then head to Wally et. for a price match. Unfortunately they don't put enough in the jar - I just take a small taste at first with a huge soup spoon and Bingo the jar is almost empty. Then I have to finesse the rest out with a small spoon - you have to have alot of patience. But you have to - so the jar is easily to clean for recyclining. Yay that's what I tell people, lol.

Nutella goes great on apples, pears, healthy whole grain bread, cookies, cupcakes, tea biscuits, ice cream but mostly all by itself. I saw something with choc/hazelnut in a container at Dollar Tree stores. Haven't tried it yet. I did try Jif's version of Nutella and it was not the same. Nutella is smooth as silk and goes down so easily.

Our grocery story carries foreign stuff and has a good sized tin of something called "Spotted Dick," I kid you not. Apparently it's some kind of pudding but I can't bring myself to buy any, besides I think it's about $ 4.99.

PS HAPPY CHOOKS, you'd laugh even more if you saw the mess Nutella makes out of my cone.

Dang, I've got coops to clean in the AM, a baptism to attend and conduct and meetings on Sat Night and Sunday morning.

Time to SLEEP!!!
