Tucker had technical bucket difficulties with his leash.

I tried to let my 2 broodies out yesterday. OMG it was chaos. Babies running from one mother to another, hens trying to fight the other hen to protect their babies, and putting the smack down on curious hens that came in to see what all the commotion was. So, I put my Icelandic back in the broody area with what I thought were her babies. Then I watched the one barnevelder trying to get out and another trying to get in. So I swapped them and they are all happy now. I left Dusty and her 2 babies out, so she can start taking them outside. Then I can let my Icelandic out with her babies when they are settled.

Gosh, managing multiple broodies is not easy!

Candled today. 11 out of 12 Icelandics developing, 7 out of 18 Isbars developing. I set some pretty old eggs though as the more recent ones went to a customer. I just really want another two or three Isbars so I am fine with that. Hopefully they aren't quitters. I may put a few more in just for good measure. They will only be a few days behind this group. I think I have 3 or 4 more saved.

Now you made me candle my peafowl, its only day 6, but it looks like at least 9/14 are developing, could be more its still early. I just hope at least a few hatch.
