Last week I processed ten roosters and yesterday my lady picked up sixteen roosters. (she also took one GIANT gobbler)

That's 26 less crowers in one week!




Unfortunately, it was still pretty noisy around here this morning, I need to keep chipping away at the numbers.

That's a lot less crowing!

The smoke is killing us too, though we've had to run our A/C at night. We open the windows in the evening, but close them when we go to bed. Even with the house closed up tight, we still had a smoke detector go off this morning at 6:15. I keep worrying that my bees will leave, but where will they go?

They aren't making much progress - only 31% contained. 1,226 fire personnel fighting it, 7,367 acres and growing rapidly.

My mom took us shopping today. She bought my boys a bunch of school clothes. I so love that she does that for me every year.
