Quote: He's adorable. Looks like a little puff ball.

How are they with the chickens? Do they chase off predators? For my next dog, I want more of a livestock dog, but not one that barks constantly. I was looking at Anatolian Shepherds, but it says they are big barkers.

Did you see the Harvest Moon last night? It was gorgeous. I took some time lapse video but it didn't come out really good so I am trying it again tonight with different settings.

My breakfast today:
400

Coconut oil, garlic, herbs and sweet and hot peppers and onion. Salt and pepper.
Advice from my food healing class, nothing burnt or charred.
Delicious. The herbs are Basil, Rosemary

That's a nice shot of the moon. I hope you have better luck with the time lapse tonight.

Thanks. He's good with the chickens. If they are free ranging he will take smaller groups to the larger groups. They would certainly warn you of predators, but they typically/traditionally live with their family at night rather than their herd, the way a livestock guardian dog does. They are quiet as a mouse

. OK, I can't do that, most are barkers, you really have to start right away to teach the quiet command. They are really smart. I picked the breed because I wanted a herding dog, and these were supposed to settle down inside better than some of the other herding breeds. I guess they do, I have 2 sleeping at my feet right now. They are also smaller than Border Collies and Australian Sheepdogs which were two of the other breeds I was considering. (I very well could have puppies sometime next year)
