HEY!!!

And yes, you're right. You're not as bad as me by around x10.

Anybody need chickens? I have some serious downsizing to do.

only if you have silver campines or isbars you're trying to get rid of... i've actually been considering trying to re-home a few of my odd-breed-out chickens, just to make more room for the three i'm hoping to focus on.

Quote: Actually Laura, I may be able to hook you up! In the next couple of weeks I'm really going to cut back the numbers before the weather turns wet.

I'm also planning to Craigslist a bunch of turkeys cheap, if anyone wants some first. They would all be breeders next year, and all about half grown. So they could be finished growing out for the freezer too. I have around 50 and they literally go through a bag of food everyday! Every time you look at that pen the feeder is empty, grrrr. There are Slates, Royal Palms & Black Spanish. They were all originally from Porter's.

Kathy what breeds did you use for your olive egger? I can't wait to very darkBCM's over my dark olive eggers to see how dark I can get the eggs.

Wheaten Ameraucana girls and Black Copper Marans rooster. I will get a picture of her. She is very pretty. Blue with a beard.

That is correct, so I'll be down to 50. I have 2 blue barnevelder roosters, and 5 pure barnevelder roosters. I'll likely rehome the 2nd blue barnie as well, then narrow the 5 pure's down to 2 breeders. I have an extra wellie cockerel that looks promising, so I'm holding on to him a tad bit longer to see how he matures.

Just let me know when you are ready for him Linda. We can meet somewhere for coffee and do the trade off.

Day 2 went well. I avoided the scarecrow sprinkler and outsmarted the emu's, thus keeping all my fingers intact. The deer took out the one in the back and chomped on Mary's tomato plants. I staked it back into the ground.

Mary, I fail to see how your neighbors can complain about your crowing. I heard ONE crow yesterday while I was there, and NOBODY crowed today. I just got the warning call when someone new approaches. Shoot, mine crow a ton more than yours!

Yep, I think they are just whiners and want someone else to pay for the lose of their property value in LOP. Glad you had a good second day!
