No, I can't fill up the incubator!I have way too many chickens now. Just trying to reestablish the Isbar flock after getting rid of the egg eaters and bringing in some breeds for eating eggs. I am thinking about getting out of the hatching egg end of it all together. I don't want to keep buying the latest, greatest in order to sell hatching eggs for more than just a few dollars a dozen. I think my house is situated in a pretty good spot for selling eating eggs and the surplus I can sell to the feed store. I have the CA egg handler's permit that they require. I want to give that a try in the Spring. I have an on-going project, and another in mind, so I may get back in the hatching egg business eventually, but for now I think I am going to stop selling hatching eggs. My chicken plans are always in flux so I may change my mind at any moment but this is what my heart and head are saying this morning.![]()
