Stella's Social Club

I cooked yesterday after 5 hrs of shopping. I have to get less eclectic going to 12 stores for stuff is madness.

We are nontraditional this year.torch it Prime rib , leek bread pudding, creamed corn, 4 mash plate, sunchoke gratin, mint peas and greenbeans. And a few pies.
I had to change some recipes as I dropped my eggs on the floor. So sad
Sorry about the eggs!

Now I am nostalgic for the time we had Chinese food for Easter--Each family made and brought a home made Chinese dish to share.

It was Wonderful!

We're in Mineral Bluff, Fannin County, GA. at about 2000 ft elevation, about 2/10 of a mile from the NC line. Here is some of the place, sans snow and nasty stuff:
That looks like a beautiful place for chickens! Thanks for the egg sadness sharing. My mother thought she was taking 2 do eggs home she will be sad. I'll watch the jubilee and see if I can find her hide nest.

chiqita, your meal sounds marvelous. Take some pictures! I wish I could switch it up a bit but we're traditionalists. I would also have to dry run every new dish to avoid disasters on the holiday. Most of the holiday rises we serve we only make on that day so it really is just once a year.

Cyn, your place is so pretty! Love the view. Glad you're home.

Who dropped eggs? I am going to have to stand by the nest boxes today waiting for a couple of eggs to make a pie!

I picked up a carton of eggs at the store this morning, then put it back in the case. For crying out loud, I have sixty chickens!

HI Jake!

Your place is so beautiful Cyn. It looks so peaceful. (minus the fox)

Ron - Chinese Food Christmas, that would be interesting. It would be hard for me though, that is probably the one type of food I've never made. I'm having brisket tonight though.

Chiqita - Yum, prime rib. We usually do that at Christmas. Leek bread pudding sounds interesting.

I have a paperback book from the 70s with Chinese Recipes in it.

Make home made egg rolls--they are so good!
