on you mistaking a cockerel for a hen again. Those Icelandic boys are getting more and more handsome!

Cyn - love the babies, especially the blue one. It had BETTER be the year of the pullet. I hatched so many dang cockerels last year.

Hey Everybody!

Love those eggs Laura!

Hi Kathy! Love the broody bait idea! Are you paying attention Kelly?

Blessings to all going through tough times. Sounds like someone needs a one-way ticket to "Poor, Poor, Pitiful MeVille!"

Hey Jake thanks for the compliment. I have become the junkstore diva here lately.

I got the garage shelving transformed yesterday and today I'll do the table!

I was out feeding my animals this morning when I noticed one of my project girls had a really big comb and wattles. Then I noticed the saddle feathers! Duh.

Gotta' go paint!
I love the Golden boy there in the back!!

Wowza he is just sparkling with bloom!

Those are some of the most gorgeous roosters I've ever seen!

I've had a bummer of a day. Broodies not cooperating by playing musical nests, cockerels fighting and had to patch up the loser and toss the winner/bully in the clink (after molesting one poor hen when the other roosters couldn't rescue her), Deacon roaming like he's the farm mascot while multiple hawks swirl and scream overhead. Isaac broke open his toe where there was black crusty skin from his frostbite incident by mating one of his hens and had to be re-bandaged. I moved two 50 lb bags of feed to the cans in the coop by myself when I was already staggering from exhaustion and decided to leave the others in the car because DH's back was acting up, so now my back is a bit tight and my head is threatening to ask for big meds. And after all the chaos today, tech support for our Blue Roo site was trying to figure out why our blog is messed up and now, they've lost another section and the blog is still messed up. Can't win for losing today.

And I got NO quilting or crocheting done today. Thankfully, I started quilting the table topper yesterday.

Anyway, I'm proud that I have done some of my best hand stitching on the current project. Haven't been able to be this precise in quite some time.

ETA: just tried to get further and it's probably more the day I have than my DH's violin playing, but I can't seem to get the stitches right so I gave up after a few frustrating inches. Oh, well, will start again tomorrow.
