You know how Marlon Brando's jawline looked in The Godfather? That is me today!

Not a pretty site, not that I was before that anyway, but........

I had both sides worked on yesterday. I elected to go ahead with the extraction of the tooth that broke off and have a bone graft done in anticipation of haven an implant in six months. It takes that long for the bone graft to "take." But for now all I have is cleanings and waiting. Acid reflux has been singled out as the cause of all this tooth horror. Hopefully the medication for acid reflux will work and I can avoid surgery on my esophagus.

It's always something kids........

BTW I can't believe how many people have only eaten a Reuben at Arbys! That is crazy. Reminds me of the time I was traveling on business and at breakfast someone asked me what I had for dinner the night before. I told her I was tired of room service and took my rental car through the drive-thru at Chick Fill Uh. The entire table of my co-workers burst into laughter. I had never heard of

I had acid re-flux problems. It is often related to stomach bacteria. I treated with cayenne pepper to kill the bad bacteria and upped things that give me good stomach flora.

A common problem that happens as we age is actually too little acid in the stomach. Before taking anti acid type medicine, the acid level in the stomach should be checked. Oddly, if it is too low, taking HCL pills will help with acid re-flux.

If you asked my FIL, he'd probably tell you that a Reuben was a Yankee sandwich, LOL. My DH was a devotee of Chick Fil-A, as well as Krystal. Chick Fil-A is okay, not awe-evoking by any means, IMO. The smell of Krystal hamburgers positively makes me gag (same as White Castle, if you know that place) I had neither of those growing up that I recall, but they were both staples in the Southern fast food industry.

Thanks Ron. I have had all the tests and we know why I have the problem but it is not easily fixed. Nexium worked great last time I was on it but OTC Prilosec does not work well. Hopefully this will be the solution and I can end the dental visits!

Cyn, I have never heard of Krystal and have never had a White Castle burger either. Probably not missing much!
