Stella's Social Club

I didn't go out. Michael thinks I should have gone out and written his license plate down too but I am not going to do that. I was already having chest pain just from the stress of it all. If he comes back, I'll call the sheriff but I am not going to put myself in a scary situation. Too old and lame for that.

Love it! I had a tree growing through a deck before. It takes a bit of work to maintain. Looks like your moss is pretty green too. Is your coop uphill or downhill. Either way, I'd have trouble getting there or back.

the coops are downslope, but not in that direction -- from where i took the photo, the coops are behind me.

That ignoramus is lucky the Emus and Jack don't hunt him down. Let HIM wear ear protection, construction jobs are plenty noisy themselves. Maybe you could video tape (with audio) him having one of his tantrums, cussing and throwing things. To me parking in front of your house, is a hostile act - I would have called the police.

Does the construction crew come very early in the morning? I know some areas have laws that they cannot start before a certain hour of the morning.

Sounds like that Bieber character.

to stupid construction worker!!

The green looks lovely, we are at least 6 weeks or more from green grass (we have FEETS of snow, not foot!) but a girl can look.

Dad's decline has accelerated, we have him on some heavier duty drugs to help him relax and rest - it is so hard to watch him go through this, but to me it seems that he no longer knows about it, so for him not so sad. The Hospice people tell us we are doing a good job. Not long now, we think. It has been 5 weeks since this all started, and seems much shorter.

I love the colors on that runner! You do such nice work on your pieces.

Thank you! I love these fabrics, too. I usually work in greens and lavenders, but I just saw these blues and fell in love.

Mary, I know what you mean. You should leave the stressing to someone else in that situation if it is getting to you. If that continues, you can call the sheriff or let Michael handle it.

So sorry. Keeping him comfortable, even if sedated, will make his journey peaceful.

I missed this part of your post. I'm so very sorry.

The idiot from across the road has construction workers doing stuff on the property. Today one of them screamed obscenities to us from the deck to "shut the f---ing roosters up!" He was angry and throwing things. He just came and sat in front of my house in his pick-up truck writing down my address. Makes me very anxious that something bad will happen to my chickens. Michael says not to worry but I still am.

A construction worker upset over noise, that's different. It really doesn't seem to be any of his business or concern what is going on at your home. Hopefully he'll just find out your zoned properly, or stop coming to the job site hungover.

I'm sorry. I know it is a difficult time for you.
