I am really a cooking heathen at times, and buy the jars of artichoke hearts and use them for salads, pizza and in hot artichoke dip. Although in my defense we rarely see a fresh artichoke up here. My preference is to not know what something is if I am trying it new, that way there are no preconceived ideas and it can be judged on taste alone. When I was younger no avocado in any form would have ever passed my lips, now I love them. Same with wheat bread. Nice to have the recipe. Even better to enjoy another's expertise and culinary genius. I am a very appreciative audience!
I use both! Fresh artichokes don't seem like the same species as jared. Im using the jar sauce form them on my sous vide chicken tonught! We had fresh last night.
Dang, FedEx just left and she's already sitting! I have a broody!
You know 2 girls are gonba escape and brood with her!

It is a plastic hen with chicken feathers glued on. She is sitting on two brown eggs. I told you guys I ordered her, Duh!

Actually Diva I swapped out the real combs on all my chickens with felt combs quite a while back. Reduces pecking injuries.

get Cara Mia artichoke hearts -- they are the only jarred ones that are edible, and they are DELICIOUS. when i lived in North Carolina for two years i had friends mail them to me, as i couldn't get them on the east coast (nor fresh ones with any reliability), and they are SO worth it.
