We made our first attempt using the Pizza recipe from Mary (and King Arthur Flour).
I'll need a little practice, but it is a very good crust. I don't think I had it thin enough close to the edges so everything slid down towards the middle.

Quote: Can't do permethrin because of the bees. I'll look up neem oil. Found out yesterday that we have scales on a couple of trees too. I wondered what those little brown blobs were last year.

You may want to contact the Placer county Ag extension. Since I think Neim oil would so the same when the bees get the nectar from the flowers they would probably ingest some.
Is there a Bee support site? I would think that there are farmers with both bees and orchards that may have a better idea.

Looks good to me. After you roll out the crust, take your fingers and create a little depression about a half inch in around the edges. I put the sauce and topping all the way out to that. Do it right before topping the crust or it tends to puff back up again. My head has been spinning with all kinds of pizza ideas now. Michael may need to hold on for a wild pizza ride until I get over it. He's a great person to have around as a taste tester. He doesn't like ""green things and spicy things but he'll try anything I make and he usually likes it. If he doesn't, I acknowledge that in my blog post!

Last night I made fresh roasted garlic pesto with herbs coming up volunteer from last year in my garden. It was divine. Michael ate a boat load of it!

Kathy those turtle burgers are a hoot! You would have to be pretty hungry to eat one of those by yourself!

Maybe that is why Kathy isn't feeling well and it has nothing to do with "old age."
