My numbers are going the right way, in the last two days I've sold fourteen hens, thirteen roosters, four ducks and four chicks. I have someone else scheduled to get a chick this afternoon, another rooster and two hens to go on Tuesday and six more hens and three chicks to go next Thursday.

Now if you don't count the seventeen chicks I hatched over the weekend or the call duck egg in lockdown, things are looking good.

Don't look at that other tray of 30 eggs in the cabinet or anything being collected on the kitchen counter.

Those were test hatches..............they don't count!

Chicks under broodies don't count either, right?

This was supposed to be the year of the pullet. My 26 juveniles from the Easter hatch - only 12 are pullets.

So can I do like a quarter of the ginger instead or how should I do it also I'm glad i asked.

Just add the ginger chunk and omit the grated ginger unless you are a major fan!

Definately do not count your chickens before they hatch. Chicks in the house also do not count.

Cyn, I went to my BF's daughter's 8th grade promotion last week, it was very sweet. He is working out of town and couldn't get back, and the rest of his family is in Florida, so it was nice to be able to be there as a fill-in.

Sure Mary just does these things , while the rest of us are scared silly waiting for the broody' pecks of death.' Do we really need this added stress in our lives?
