So I put the two Cuckoo Marans chicks from the feedstore under the Icelandic broody last night in the big plastic egg on the floor. This morning she was up in a nest box and they were out in the run alone!

I picked them up and took them down to Coop #1 and showed them to Lukka. She gave each one a peck on the head, then tucked them under her wing. They are her babies now. They spent the entire day right at her side with the three Brabanter chicks. Here they are tonight, back in the coop.



She's amazing.
