It's a devastating fire. We have a bit of rain this morning - I hope you do too. Wow, I see there are now almost 3,400 firefighters on it. No update this morning yet though.

So devastated for you guys in the fire areas. I'm in the east but I've been following the updates and worrying about you all. Just watching your favorite places go up in flames is bad enough but you are probably also worrying about possible evacuation. What do you do about getting your animals and poultry to a safe place, as well as yourselves? I'm praying for rain and safety for you all, especially right now for Jason.

Oh my gosh, 18,000 acres to 71,000 acres in one day - just horrible. Jason, is anyone mentioning houses from what you are seeing? Yubanet isn't recording any housing losses as of yet, but there has to be some with a fire that monstrous.

OMG the fire pictures from overnight are just unbelievable. Tripled in size. Of all things thunderstorms expected today.

I searched the pictures and it makes you speechless. So horrible. It looks like it's approaching Hell Hole Resevoir and French Meadows now.

It's certainly got us thinking about what we would take if we had to be evacuated. As for animals, I know there isn't any way I could get all of my chickens out.

I would probably try to get Lukka, Isi, Judge Judy and Skye out. I don't even want to think about it.

I feel so bad for people having to make those decisions right now.

We are safe, so far no houses but stumpy meadows , hell hole are gone probably French meadows too

Holy crud, all this devastation and it was arson? They arrested a 37 year old man charged with starting this fire.
