Stella's Social Club

Wow, I think Hollywood is calling you - you'd be great in wardrobe, you've got the ideas and the skills to execute them.

My gosh the temp this morning was 18 degrees!! You guys are lucky to still have a garden ours was tilled under weeks ago it was to cold here to have plants living.

LOL. Last night at church trunk or treat the weather was PERFECT. Tonight at the city trunk or treat it was FREEZING! We are dipping below freezing tonight, first freeze of the year. All the costumes started with something from a discount store or thrift store and I finished them up from there. They turned out cute!

Your kids are so cute. Did they get a good haul?

Not as much as they hoped but it was plenty to keep them happy! We live in a REALLY small rural town. There were maybe 15 cars at the trunk or treat, and 4 game booths. It was so cold we skipped the parade and costume contest. There were lots of kids, we went right at the beginning and they were already running out of candy. The church trunk-or-treat was much bigger, probably 60 cars participating. And the weather was warm so I was glad we went to it. All but the last photo were at the church.

Adorable Rinda. My youngest came home early from school feeling sick, so he did not get to go trick-or-treating last night. He was disappointed, but his grandmother gave him a bunch of candy.

Had my first run-in with a hawk yesterday- it managed to squeeze over a gate and get stuck in the big pen. Didn't get anything thankfully. A wildlife lover friend is taking it to a rehabber far far away. Got to figure out how to tighten the netting around the gate area.

dumb hawk. you are nicer than I . after what I went through 3 years ago id a forgot about him a few weeks

Frozen costumes would have been perfect up here this year - it SNOWED overnight. And did not melt!! Ugh.
My daughter was frozen last night too. there where a bunch of them. we got spared with no rain after it had poured earlier. we where down in Roseville. By the time I got home it was pouring here and poured a lot last night. it has to be snowing good up the hill as it was low 40's last night and 40 here now at 3400 feet
