I woke up at 5AM to intense thunder. It was very cool listening to it. We got a lot of rain overnight.

Cute picture Rinda! looks like they had a great time.

We had a big rainstorm here overnight with lots of lightning and thunder. Poor little Tucker was so scared he was shaking. We crawled into bed with Michael and eventually fell back asleep. It is still pouring.

I am having such fun with my macro lens and Photoshop. Fun way to spend a rainy day, except the sun is shining now! I am still going to call it a rainy day day and play!

We had cold, strong winds 50-60 mph most of yesterday and into the night. One good thing tho, it pushed all the fallen leaves to the fence so the yard looks clear. I didn't plan on raking anyhow.

That's windy! I made the first fire today! Egads I hate the fake brick at the bottom. I need to figure out some way to fix it and leave the 120 year old brick on the top part.

What a cozy sight, surprised Tucker isn't curled up in front of the fireplace. But, forgot he is tending MIchael. How is Michael doing now?

Michael is doing really well. He has really surprised me. Really.

Tucker is sort of afraid of the fire. We have only used the fireplace here a couple of times so it is new to him. He runs through the parlor looking sideways at it like the flames are going to jump out and get him. He is silly but after the storm last night he is being very cautious. When I cleaned the old ashes out of the fireplace before starting the fire he ran upstairs and didn't come down until Michael did. He's a wuss. But a well loved little wuss. Not a big wuss like those spoiled brat's of mutt'sfan curled up on the couch!

I am getting hungry. I have been making homemade French Onion soup all afternoon and the smell is killin' me. I am serving it with a Caesar salad, everything made from scratch including the croutons. Oy.

These have been taunting me all day. left over from the ones I took to the neighbors yesterday.

wow, I never thought to do that - drizzle chocolate over them - now that is all I will be thinking about.
