holm25, I love your farm photos, always. Having spent so much time on my grandfather's farm as a child, it brings back memories. I don't remember him having turkeys, but he did raise chickens, pigs and Angus beef and he has Jersey and Guernsey milkers as well. I remember the mules plowing and looking for the new batch of kittens in the hayloft. Best childhood memories other than my pony.

It is winter here. This snow we got yesterday didn't stick, but it's about 24* this morning, much preferable to some nights we've had.

Winter photos are always so pretty.

Yes, they are. Here are some from another winter when we have quite a bit of snow, more than normal. It was our snowiest winter here, but we lived in Utah twice and Colorado so nothing compared to those, except that we have much more humidity here so harder to take in many ways. This winter 2010-2011 we had bouts of snow that were 5"-10", way more than we usually have to deal with.

Thank you Eva, the pine needle tea sounds very interesting. Anything with honey in it is nice for sure throats - right now I have a fresh pot of Jasmine tea with some honey from fellow BYCer raZ. I may switch to this later -

Oh, Nyquil, the home version.

Quote: That's a nice winter photo.

a little snow is always nice. besides the few snowflakes in December here it doesn't feel like snow will happen this year. where as the first year we moved here it snowed a ton of times it seemed like. we are at 3400 feet
