Of course, it will probably go down when I take everyone to the show next weekend.

Oh my, the show is coming up already!

a little snow is always nice. besides the few snowflakes in December here it doesn't feel like snow will happen this year. where as the first year we moved here it snowed a ton of times it seemed like. we are at 3400 feet
What were they doing out, where the heck did they have to go?

I actually have some nice smooth Jack Daniels with vanilla liqueur that I am planning to try rather than the Kesslers (too harsh for me). Just sitting inside admiring the beautiful white blanket of snow, dazzling in the sun - the girls, however, are not impressed with the 12 degree temp and have not set a toe outside yet.

That's very lovely.

Yep! Cage training hasn't been as bad as I thought. It's gone pretty well so far. I am excited and nervous about the show.

I think I'd just take it as a learning experience, but be prepared the best you can. What do you do for cage training?

Yes, I'm hoping to learn a lot. For cage training, you put them in a cage with food and water and take them out several times a day and handle them like a judge does. (Spread each wing, feel down the keel bone, feel along the back, etc)

Here in southeastern NY we're expecting a blizzard starting tomorrow evening. Supposed to be up to 3 feet of snow on Tuesday with high winds. And my DH just broke our snow blower yesterday when he ran over a door mat.

I SO need to start doing this- going to my first show Feb 7. Only showing 7 birds. This time is totally about the learning experience, and working on exposure for Cream Legbars! I'm taking a trio of those, a pair of Black Copper Marans, and a pair of Spitzhaubens.

Are you showing this weekend in Modesto?
