There should be tons of snow at Mammoth this time of year. There is hardly any snow in the mountains.

I got this picture of Marys Lake frozen over with the mountains in the background.

I also traded some empty buckets for some bamboo I got to dig.

I got 2 nice clumps of black ( Phyllostachys nigra ) gets a nice black cane.
and a nice chunk on Henon Phyllostachys nigra Henon. This is likely the true species. Its a timber bamboo and has great commercial value as it has excellent wood. i already have a few plantings of Phyllostachys nigra black stripe which is a timber like Henon.

I also picked up a super rare chunk of another timber Phyllostachys vivax Huangwenhu.
can't wait for my grove. it won't grow where its too wet or dry so I have the perfect spots

we had 60 mile an hour gust of wind. Ripped my shade cloth off the top of my brown red ameraucana. Blew a tarp down the road somewhere that was attached with clamps.
at 3am I heard a big boom. was a power line . I had 11 new baby Brown Red Ameraucana bantams in my carport brooder. luckily and i mean luckily i woke up and the power went out. so I was able to get my generator going.

OMG

I think it's Drinda's Aussies

Nope, I own both parents, too. And I think that's a new spelling for my name! I guess running our names together in my user name is confusing. My husband Lonny actually started the account- but I'm the only one ever on anymore. So it's Lonny and Rinda!

Sorry to hear about the weather problems! We are in the middle of a winter storm, 16 degrees, 25mph east wind plus gusts blowing 6+ inches of snow around. Looks like a morning on the tractor tomorrow. Good snowmobile weather.

BRRR! We are in the 70s all weekend, CRAZY for February!

Took my birds to the show today! Black Copper Marans pair (only two there, BB and RV), Spitzhauben pair (only two there, BB and RV), and a Cream Legbar Trio (RB for my crested hen- a friend brought a pair and her hen got BB).
