My youngest (11) is also into minecraft (the actual game), so I feel your pain. He is trying his hardest to convince me to play it..........not happening. Mary already got me into candy crush.

My nieces play Minecraft, and after watching for a while I asked, What does it do? She said, it builds things! And I said, not actual things though, right? I was amazed at how long they were willing to just sit there punching computer keys with no real end result. I guess when we were young there were no games like that - our Mom just told us "go outside and play you are driving me crazy!"

I don't get the fascination with Minecraft either, it looks pretty pointless to me. My son was talking about feeding a wolf to domesticate it. He told me I should play because there are chickens in Minecraft.

im not a minecraft player but im friends with a lot of people who run severs. Its actually really creative and not bad for brain growth. Of all the trends out there in the past 10 years for kids stuff and computers its one of the most healthy.
Just get them to jog while doing it as well ha!
