And for me snakes and frogs are no problem - but boy oh boy do I hate to be around spiders. I figure someday I will meet my demise in a fiery crash caused by a spider dropping suddenly onto my steering wheel, causing me to panic and the car to crash.

For me frogs are no problem but spiders and snakes are another thing entirely. Yuck!! shiver!!! The snakes here are copperheads and rattle snakes. I don't mind the black snakes to bad except they eat chicken eggs or chicks if available. I can get totally bent- out -of- shape when confronted by a snake near my chickens. NOOOOOOOOO.

If you live close, there is a small animal exchange that runs until September. There is usually a lady there that will take roosters and you can often sell them to people there.

I can drive a couple hours if it means they'll get some good owners. But I think it will be very hard to find vegetarians with big yards who only want roosters as pets or to keep them as breeders for their chicken flock. I'm thinking of having them pay $50 each for them, then after two years if they show me updated pictures of them, then I'll give them back the $50 for each one they took off my hands. Most people won't love an animal as much if they just got it for free.

I doubt anyone would pay $ 10, roosters are a dime a dozen. Which is why so many people find a rooster in their yards, sometimes more than one. People just dump them like a cigarette butt. Sorry but, that is the truth.
