So funny. It took me 3 weeks to get the oven and only after 7 hours out of a 10 hour period of time fighting on the phone on Friday plus another six hours yesterday. Today I went online with a trucking company to request a pick up of the damaged oven. Less than 10 minutes later there was a semi in my driveway to pick it up!

Wow! That was fast!!!

Shockingly fast. I went into the house to tell hubby they decided to have it picked up and went outside to the semi in the driveway. At least it is out of her. Hopefully the replacement is intact.

Also hope you guys can put up with remodel pictures!

Today was huge! The rock wall was torn out, the cork ceiling removed, carpet removed, wall between dining room and living out on one side. Lots of electrical to move on that wall! Tomorrow the countertops go and the ugly kitchen floor!

Ugly rock wall

Going, going...

Gone! BTW, the black stuff on the insulation is mot mold. Johnny pulled it all back and the sheetrcok behind it is pristine. He said those black marks are from air intrusion over the years. The sheetrock was never taped on that wall and there was a gap on the top where the rock didn't meet the ceiling. WHEW!

Ugly Cork ceiling.

GONE!

Turns out they were put up when the house was built in 1972 so the sheetrock ceiling was never textured or painted. Johnny will do that. I think the beams will look great!

They cleaned up every bit of the mess and hauled two truckloads of debris to the dump!

Feels like it is really going to happen now! Hang on. We may be in for a bumpy ride!

This the underside step from the dining room down to the living room. Yikes, I think those are spider webs!

It's fleeting. Moment to moment, It would be perfect if I could manage to do it without appliances and salespeople. Piece of cake.

LOL! I love to watch the mess of a remodel as long as it's not in my house!

I have a painted rock wall JUST like that. I HATE it. Not sure I'm willing to demo it and see what's behind it though! It used to be the exterior of the house so with my luck we would have to put something else up. Might be a brick wall from the original house. I'm sure there's no sheetrock back there.
