Stella's Social Club

robhuncor you sound like a nurse. I hate the ER! Hate, I say! Hope you feel better but if you don't know the cause it might be worth checking out during normal business hours.

Kelly. I have one of those pillows. Makes a really good backrest in bed. Just toss it (gently) in the floor before going to sleep.

We needed up buying the table from the vintage store today. It will work much better for us day-to-day and has a nice leaf to put back in when we need it. I did not like the orangey color of my old farmhouse chairs in this house so we painted for of them grey today. I will distress and wax them and they will go much better with the current color scheme. I know they look worse now, but I am just getting started.

My parents came over today to see how the remodel is coming along. It was gut wrenching watching my Mom try to get around with her walker. Her condition has gotten so much worse this past year. She will be 93 on New year's Day. She wanted to go down the step into the living room and I was so scared she would fall since we don't have a handrail yet. She made it but I was worried. They both like how it looks.

Johnny will be disappointed tomorrow morning to see that some of the wood tiles have buckled again. Ugh.

Off to lay down early tonight.

He needs to use Gorilla Glue.

Awww, I am glad that your mom got to come over. Great that they like how it coming along!

My mother-in-law turned 93 yesterday. She has taken several falls the past 2 years, including one just a few days ago that required a couple staples in her head. She is alert most of the time, but forgetful often. She is in a nursing home and is suppose to use her call light when she wants to get up. She has a walker and refuses to be set in a wheel chair. You know how that is . . . . .

OH ! ! ! They are gonna look great!
Tyler was over today and we had an odd conversation. It was about this grey color! He was helping deliver some furniture to someone that had a grey shade of walls and he was saying how much he loved it with her choice of furniture, with reddish toned wood. He liked it so well, he asked her the color and it was "mink" something.

I'm glad you mom saw the house without injury Mary. And it's a bonus that she likes it.

Kathy, be grateful that your MIL refuses a wheelchair. Once they get used to relying on it, everything starts going downhill. My grandmother has fallen a lot as well, but now is relying on the wheelchair. She's losing what little muscle tone she had so quickly. A walker is great, it helps stable them, but makes them still move.
