The amazing thing? Only one of the children died in childhood (Harold Ernest). So our family reunions are a riot, I'm sure you can imagine! Each family group gets a color T-shirt so we can identify since we obviously don't know everyone!! It's lots of fun. Our color this year is yellow (Warren Myers clan). We are one of the bigger groups, because Warren had 9 children himself, all but 1 lived to adulthood. That was my husband's grandfather.

Haha yep. When we got married my MIL (who is a sweet sweet lady) said they would love to have us present at the Thanksgiving reunion each year, and my family could have any other holiday they wanted. So we do Myers family at Thanksgiving, and Sudweeks family at Christmas. Christmas has more traditions with my family anyway. Works great.

Made another cake today, this one for a friend's baby shower tomorrow! She's doing safari theme in the baby's room.

Bahaha YES!!! This was a favor for a friend. After my daughter's birthday on the 21st I will not be doing ANY more baking this year!! This is why I don't bake for Christmas- burned out from all the fall birthday cakes!

OK maybe ONE batch of cookies. Honestly we usually have a cookie exchange at church, so I bake three dozen of one kind and take two dozen to trade. We get lots of variety that way and don't have to make them!

Mom was doing well post surgery until last night but it appears her pain meds or anesthesia have whacked her out. She does not believe she is in the hospital, thinks the nurses are imposters, that she is being held to keep her quiet, and that I am brainwashed
