It's a RUFF life!!!
It is a ruff life! Poor little guy is wearing booties because we put in laminate floors. I need to surrender him to the shelter. This is not a fit place for him.

Glad to hear the surgery could happen today. I hope all goes well. The room looks great.Love the pretty little calf!
YAY for the bees, Kelly!
So glad to see Tucker is comfortable in his new home.![]()
Looks like surgery might be a go for tomorrow (Friday). We'll see in the morning.
These pictures really are bad . . . . but anyway . . . . Tyler and Taylor painted. They gray paint is darker than it appears, and the gray furniture is VERY dark. The hallway you see there has the same shade of gray and it appears darker there in the photo. Still have lots to do. . . trim and crown molding, curtains, wall decor, etc. . . This is a pretty large room and these photos make it look so small! One reason I liked this carpet is because it has different shades of neutrals (grays, tans, lights and darks).
I really hate that this room has the patio doors to the deck in it. I wish it had windows across this wall instead, and that the patio doors were in the next room, in the dining room. (Mike says he won't change it, because he insists he is tired of remodeling houses his whole life. Pfft!)
The boys thought they needed their chair in here. NO, it is not staying there.

That's cute.
Are the patties and syrup the primary food source when it's cold?Quick visit on the bees today since it was warm out. They were bringing in pollen too! I popped the tops quickly to take a look at their feed. Both still had patties, but were out of syrup. Since we are going to have 6 more days of relatively warm temps, I topped them off with sugar syrup. Next week it's supposed to get really cold, so I wanted to make sure all was good before then!
Quote: Boy he has it rough. If laminate is the worst he'll ever have to deal with, he's got it good. Are the booties helping?
Fingers crossed on the surgery so he can get home and get better. I love the carpeting and the room, it looks great!Love the pretty little calf!

Bees cluster together for warmth around the queen when it's cold. The patties are high protein and easily accessible to the cluster as soon as it gets warm enough. They will take the patty when it's colder, syrup when it's warmer. It's basically just extra food (in case they haven't stored enough) to make sure food is near the cluster and they don't starve through winter. Are the patties and syrup the primary food source when it's cold?
