Anyway, right now I am trying to sell some old photos and reprints of old photos, so every decent frame I come across gets one of those. But I do have some good chicken pics that I could jazz up in Photoshop and frame. Thanks for the suggestion!

I spent the entire day in the store without a sale! First time that has happened! Quite a few lookie-loos though. It wasn't a wasted day though because I got a chair painted and on the floor!

I finally have a broody hen! Not certain how long she has been at it. She is actually setting in a nesting box which is about the last place I ever look for eggs.

6 of my 9 silkie hens are broody. Blah. Going to move birdies around tomorrow to put them in broody jail.

I have one little lady has gone broody six. times. this. spring. Ugh. About every 2 1/2 weeks like clockwork. I finally relented and gave her 8 little silkie chicks to raise for me. She's doing great with them. She's a splash Ameraucana

Oh no, I forgot you were traveling! It was crazy wild here in Auburn with wind, lightning, thunder, hail, and rain. More rain today too!

Got my new TempurPedic bed on Wednesday. Michael now has my queen size. The full is six inches shorter and six inches narrower and is a much better fit for my room. I can actually walk between my bed and chair to open the curtains without climbing over the arm of the chair! I was able to use a vintage full size headboard and footboard with it too. Not as overwhelming in the room as my other one. It looks good in the master bedroom with the nightstands I painted too!

The new bed is Tucker-approved too!

I have to go buy a new iPhone today. My old iPhone3 will no longer cut it. Can't get a decent data connection on 3G and I need to be able to respond when I am out pickin'. I hate cell phones so spending money on one is not something I want to do. But I must. Yuck. I think I'll send Michael to do it. He likes the geeky stuff and is less likely to be taken advantage of.

What? After all of that preparing? Sorry. I can't imagine California getting .. snow conditions! Especially at this time of yr.
We have been getting rain, rain, rain, and more rain, since April. I would say we can't complain because we nee it..but man, I need some sunshine in my life. Hard to make us happy with our weather this past yr. I will just say it again I guess... Happy that we are getting the rain we need.

Aww Happy, sorry the cake didn't turn out. And now, I have learned a secret about spraying, and spraying again! That cake won't stick!

I worked on breaking my white silkie early this spring. It worked great with a big rabbit cage, up on legs..perfect size of squares for the walking on.

Mike, you sound happy about having a broody. You must have eggs for her.

Sometimes it's best just to give in, glad she is doing fine raising chicks.
