Correct, I have no chickens at all now. I miss them terribly, too.

We have so much to do around here, besides the 2 children. If we have chickens we can not just pick up and go, if we want to. That is another advantage of homeschooling - we do not have to have a set schedule.

Frizzles look terrible when they molt. I have an old Olive Egger that is going through a really hard molt. She is a heavy girl, but she's lost a lot of weight already. She couldn't even roost last night.

I can go for a few days at a time. Auto waterers and Auto door openers/closers and a feeder large enough to hold them over. (plus there is usually enough on the ground to feed them) I'm going through a lot less feed now with the fewer birds.
