I found a new way to cook Lobster tail, involving a butter sauce ( beurre monté, which for all I know means butter sauce). For the smaller tails we had it took 1/2 pound of butter (:ep) but they came out perfect.

Looks like you guys out west got some good snow up in the mountains.

It did rain a bunch this weekend here in Woodland. It was a colder storm so there should have been snow at a lower elevation.

A new study showed that butter is nutritionally neutral. It is not bad or good for you, just very tasty(I added that last part. not part of the study...)

Nice rain down low and great snow in the mountains. We were up there this weekend, and it was beautiful. It made for a tricky drive home, had to take the long way home, since the freeway was a mess.

1/2 pound of butter isn't too bad. My English toffee takes a whole pound!

Good, bad or otherwise, I'm still eating butter.

I went back to butter years ago and never looked back. Christmas is a great time for baking, i just love recipes that start with "Take a half pound of butter..."

Please more info on cooking the lobster this way, sounds delicious!

Quote: Glad you received some rain.

Quote: Glad you had a nice time in the mountains and are receiving rain and snow. I'll never give up butter.

Lost another 5 chickens in 2 days. 3 small ones were killed and pulled through the fence, 2 larger ones killed in ambush attack between 2pm and dark, then taken down to the fence and left because they were too big to fit through the non-climb fence. I lost my best broody.

She had raised so many babies for me.

It's obvious it is not going to stop until they are all gone. I still think it's a weasel since it is going through a 4 inch by 2 inch spot in the fence. The chickens were confined to the large coop today (8X12, so they are not cramped by any means) and the trap is baited and set.

that I get the bugger.

Pulled though the fence sounds like raccoon. Weasels bite heads and necks or make a tiny hole in the breast and leave them there, strewn around the pen. I'm so sorry - it is completely frustrating! I've never been able to catch a weasel or fisher in a live trap but I've caught a lot of raccoons with peanut butter and jelly.
