I don't believe releasing is legal.I would probably try a livetrap with a chicken head in it, icky as it sounds. Then you could relocate it deep in wilderness.

Kelly I've heard on BYC of skunks killing chicks and going after eggs. I bet they would go after grown birds if they were stationary in the dark. May be one of your preds. Ask on the predator threads.
