STICKY CHICK JUST HATCHED

I just had a baby chick hatch it was super sticky so sticky that the back of the eggshell was stick to it so I helped it get it off its back that’s how I knew it was super sticky what can I do to get this chick cleaned up so it can dry and fluff up

it is probly just sticky from the egg yolk.if it is dried out and fluffed up later after a 24 hour period then... I don't know.sorry I can't help you beyond that, but for now, you should just let it dry out in the incubator and see if it goes away

I had a chick that hatched out sticky like that before. I took a warm damp wash cloth and quickly but carefully wipe off the sticky stuff, then put the chick back into the incubator to dry. It turned out to work ok.

Ok I’ve been watching it real close so I could keep an eye on it. So I will just wait and see
