Still no babies from Meyer today

I was told that the mail comes in 24/7, so those chickies could still show up on any truck. I had to go to the mail processing plant, rather than the main P.O., to pick mine up. Have you called the local plant? Maybe you can intercept them before they go to your main P.O. Make sure you TELL THEM that you will pick them up WHENEVER they arrive, even if it's the middle of the night. The plant guys thought I was nuts, but when I got there they showed me the note posted by the loading dock with my name and #, and said, "Oh, you're the lady who was willing to come in the middle of the night!" -- like that was a surprise. Hope is not lost! Trust me, I was so blue that evening, and so sure that my babies would all be DOA, that I was completely emotionally spent by the time the call did come. And mine were bantys too.

My second shipment of Meyer chicks shipped by Express Mail, and I went to the P.O. for those.

I PMed columbiacritter but I think she is off line.

I called Meyer and they told me that my shippment did not go out until YESTERDAY. I can't believe it. They told me on Tuesday that it was out on Monday. They even gave me a tracking number. I checked it at the PO and it is still not updated but I'll keep checking. She said they SHOULD be there in the morning. But it will have still been 3 days so it's good news but then it's not.

But when did they HATCH??? If they hatched Sunday and sat around not being fed or watered until yesterday then got mailed, you're not much better off than if they'd been in transit the whole time. Sorry to be a downer, but it's the truth.

I went through MyPet CHicken so I doubt Meyer could tell me about my order even though they shippe dit.

Mine went out on Monday......

I even called the post office and she was nice enough to call the hub to check to see if they were stuck there and no luck.

checked the tracking number......NOTHING.
Still just the "info recieved"
Gotta love the Gov run PO

You'll get a phone call in the next couple of hours. Right?
