Still no idea what’s going on with my hens comb and growing black spots

@LaFleche @Wyorp Rock @Eggcessive I found this photo from June 13. So I guess it’s a little under 2 months that this has been progressing. I applied triple antibiotic to the comb and wattles today. They don’t necessarily feel hot but they do feel thick/swollen.

The first picture from June 13th looks more like fowl pox. If she gets pecked or scratched that can spread the virus. I would disturb the scabs as little as possible, but use Betadine, povidone iodine, or the generic Equate First Aid Disinfectant from Walmart in the first aid aisle to paint the scabs to help dry them up. It is strange that no other birds in the flock have any of the pox scabs.

That’s so interesting because I thought the picture from June looked like she had a normal comb. What do you see on that photo that points to fowl pox?

Also, I found this picture from July 5.
