STILL trying to see which of my chick order is dark brahma

Did they send a paper with your order? It would probably have been tucked in the top or side of the box they came in. Wondering if they subbed and wrote it there. You did get 20 chicks delivered, correct, and lost 3, so there should be 17?

Yup, I have 17 now. So at this point 13 of them are yellow, light colored birds. Don't recall a shipping paper. If there was one it is long gone at this point.

NP I will simply order light (which I kinda wanted but ordered dark because I read dark birds are better against predation. From a different hatchery; maybe Ideal . A lady stated anecdotal evidence says somethibg else.

I've also read that dark birds do better in free range conditions, but brahmas aren't especially good at it. They are beauties, but are big and slow, and tend to stay close to the feeders.
I let mine breed with naked necks legbars, and easter eggers. My brahma mixes are much better free rangers.
