I have been following this thread-I have a horse and a mule, I'd be devasted like you-an owner's nightmare. I'm suprised that these people didn't make a (legal) settlement or deal to give the horse back in exchange for dropping the charges. Idjits .

According to this article the hearing was moved to Jan 20, 2010 at 1:30pm I would assume since it is the same GIRL JUDGE, that SHE would rule on both things at the same time!

Crosslin then reset the remainder of the hearing for Jan. 20, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at the request of defense attorney Jim Cosby.

I think it all boils down to this: The law. Who broke the law and who did not. It doesn't matter whether a seven year old is sniveling, etc. It's the law and the law only. And who can provide the most valid information to show that the other broke the law. Seems to me that Ms. Rodriquez has proved her case with valid evidence, and the other party has not. The judge's job is to apply the law to the situation, and who has offered more believable or valid evidence to backup their claims. I doubt the judge sees the other party or parties as being truthful.

Gosh darnit!!! Just give the horse back!!! Whatever happened to horse thieves being hanged?
