Well……..you’ve had a “dry run” at least and have some experience under your belt. If there was anything you wanted to say at the dry run trial and did not, you now get a chance at the “real one.”

Personally, even thou it is a major pain for you, I am glad you are going to the 20th – firsthand knowledge is generally the best – no worry for outside interpretation.

YEAH for the update

What she means is that there was no stenographer during the hearing happens alot here. Only the minutes are actually written down. I wonder if she is recusing due to the pictures that she saw that she refused to let ropo see concerning the horse. If she compared pictures before and after and her father is the vet and is saying horse is OK she may be afraid she may get in trouble for not turning the owner in for animal neglect and did not want her father in this mess.

ROPO I would call the DA and ask for a copy of the evidence ( vet statement) to be sent to you or see it when you go in on the 20th. Also ask that you be allowed to see the pictures on the 20th when you go in for the criminal case. Do not assume any of these people even the DA is on your side. I can not understand why she said she would rule and let the DA know even after she already knew that her father the vet had signed the statement. One of 2 things she thought she could get away with it until someone else said something. Or she thought to try to protect her father by not letting people know he had seen a horse that was being neglected and not notified anyone. According to public record she recused herself the day of the hearing 12-16 but it was not filed with the court clerk until 01-04. Yep people are crooked as HECK!!!! here in OKlahoma Good Ole Boy Country around here.

This is really unfair to you, considering the crooks now know exactly you've got against them, as well as what parts of their defense played well and what didn't the first time around. My guess is that they're going to seriously adjust their strategy based on what was effectively a practice hearing.

Just seems like these jackholes are catching every possible break for some reason..

You have every right to see the evidence (good idea) ALL of it including photos and I would not wait till the 20th because if it is bad it is only going to get worse. This is crazy, make sure there is a court reporter there, make sure the reporter is there. Can it be recorded by him? Was it recorded by him?

Get a notebook like horsefeathers said and see if you can remember ANYTHING that you wanted to say or that needed to be said at first hearing.

And also forgot in my last post find out WHO ( ask the DA) released him from Community sentencing? on the same day that the recuse was filed with the court clerk?, when he ahas at least 2 felonies pending.

I hope that, if they convict the guy, that they don't just assign a monetary value on your loss and leave you in the position of having no horse and trying to get blood out of turnip because he has no funds. I can just see these sleazeball officials saying, "He embezzled and he owes you $XXX. Go sue him for it, and the uncle can keep the horse." It would have been better to get the ownership settled before the criminal conviction to prevent that.
