Definately confirm the dates and times. Call 2 days before, the day before and that morning. The sleaze balls will try to change it to leave you out.
Is there a horse rescue group in your area? If Max is not being cared for they might be willing to "recon" the area and see if they can find him. Get a good group involved. They might be able to help you get him back and get pics of him.
Be careful sneaking in a tape recorder, they may try to take it from you.

Too bad there are no brand inspectors down there.

K. The criminal case has been moved to Feb. 8 so that I don't have to drive down there twice.

The judge refused BOTH the criminal and the ownership hearing, so a new judge has to take over the entire ordeal.

Well that is good and bad! Bad that you have to start all over but GOOD that it is the same day. GOSH I wish we could make it all go away for you and Max could be home now!

According to everyone at the DA and the man's uncle...the guy who leased my horse has never kept a job longer than 2 weeks. Needless to say, I'm doubtful I'll ever get money from him.
