Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

That was darn nice of someone!

At least it's going in a positive direction for you after all you've been through.

Friday, will probably be the day!

THAT. Something about it was really bothering me in terms of questioning whether or not the horse was yours. Additionally, if not. Then where the hell did he magically obtain THIS horse that the uncle admits the nephew SOLD him? One horse vanishes and another appears out of thin air? I think not. If they try to claim the horse isn't yours then now the nephew has a LOT more explaining to do. Clearly the court already felt it established Max was yours - they just want to make it so the man has no way of calling for a mistrial. The fact the judge actually LOOKS at him means now the uncle can't complain later it was a magical horse his nephew got from nowhere and the judge was being biased in not even considering that possibility.

Frankly, the man can make Max a brunette now and he'd still lose - though I think he'd be in much bigger trouble if he did.

Rin, my thoughts exactly!!! If this id**t uncle says Max isn't the same horse then where did this mystery horse come from and where is Ropo's Max that the nephew already admits to embezzeling and selling??? Does the uncle have papers? A sale receipt? A coggins??? Geez...this guy is a real piece of work. Next thing you know this guy is going to claim that aliens abducted Max but he cloned this one from some slobber from a feed bucket - which would explain why the DNA test says it is Max!!!

As far as a DNA test goes, it's just going to cause more delay. Why are they giving so much leeway to what the UNCLE wants? And regarding who pays for it, if it turns out that the judge wants it, I would propose that the LOSER pay. If it proves that the horse is indeed Max, then the UNCLE pays. That will give him pause as to whether he wants it done, or whether he just wants to give up this fight as a lost cause.

In reality, I hope the judge continues on her more sensible path and makes the decision without the test. As other posters have pointed out, if it's not Max, who is it and where did he come from?

I would hate to see another long delay while waiting for results of a DNA test. Everyone can see what needs to be done here, and it seems the judge is on to these guys. She just doesn't want to look like a pushover or have anyone accuse her of deciding the case without seeing all the facts, including the horse himself.

God bless you, Ropo, for hanging in there like a real trooper, and showing such patience and maturity.

What a thoroughly crummy, sneaky ploy on that uncle's part. Guy needs a big "L" tatooed on his forehead. I mean how low can a grown man go?

Oh, and the uncle, that evil man, should have to pay for EVERYTHING since he is the one who dragged it out for SO LONG and went to ridiculous dishonest lengths to try and keep your horse from you. Have you ever heard that "evil often works through stupidity"? I think that may be the case here.

I think the judge is trying to make sure this guy has no other recourse but to give Max back to his rightful owner. She is crossing her Ts and dotting her Is so this guy won't have a leg to stand on and can't go through further delaying legal means.

Yeah For almost over!

I agree that she is just trying to make sure the uncle can't slither threw some minuet crack.
Hope that the judge is out there today looking him over.
Congrats Ropo on the small victory yesterday.

Okay... question.. Who is to say the this man hasn't swapped out horses at this point... couldn't he just simply aquire another horse for the "looking at".... what is to prevent him from doing such a thing???? and then keeping Max anyway?? Now he would have two horses.... Sounds like a real crooked feller... I wouldn't put it past 'im

Maybe but where is he going to find a horse to match the photos he gave the court and dish out that kind of money out of the blue? Not to mention he'd have to also pay to hide max in the meantime. It would be /less/ costly to him to just let it go.

In addition to that now he'd completely screw the nephew over as now they also owe her a horse or at least and explanation where it went. All in all, if he switched max I think the judge would smell it a mile away.
