Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

Last update for today from the DA's office:

The writ was for State vs. Man Who Leased Horse, so the writ wasn't technically including the uncle. They are rewriting it and going back over old evidence and will be going after where Max was stated to be at by 2 people. The writ will be done against that person. A warrant can't be issued for the uncle because he claimed that Max was not on his property, not that he gave Max away. He claimed the same thing IN the hearing, so a warrant can't be issued for him, but for the other person, it's a possibility, especially if anything happens.

They are tracking down info now on the third person involved and we will hopefully hear something around 11:00AM or later tomorrow.

Believe me, I've been using worse names in my head and around the house.

If you want specific information, feel free to PM.

since i'm thoroughly convinced that the deputy is somehow involved in this - how much time does he have to complete his paper work? what is the da saying about that?

I thought we showed remarkable restraint in our name calling! I'd like to channel the ghost of Gabby Hayes and use a pile of his old expressions just to blow off steam, then end with something about getting them all thrown into the 'Hoosegow' ! Yes I know lots and LOTS of worse words and names, but it's sort of gone beyond even the worst of them and ol' Gabby is sort of satisfying in his own way.
I only hope the DA gets it right this time!

One good thing, the more annoying it is for the DA's office, the Judge, and yes, even the Sheriff's office by now for that matter, the more likely they are in the end to make it stick cause I bet they're thoroughly convince RoPo isn't going to give up! YOU GO GIRL!!!!! You''re my HERO!!!!!

Frankly, the only thing that was going to get Max back was exactly that. The fact shes so stubborn is the ONLY reason shes gotten this far. The ONLY. If she didn't fight so long and hard they would have won - and it's a horrible shame that this is how our legal system works. Nothing will happen with out a bare toothed, white knuckled drag out FIGHT.

Ohhh, Ro. I'm so sorry you have to keep fighting. The only thing I can think of is maybe there is a reason for all this - maybe your struggle with the justice system in this town was to expose how corrupt it is and allow someone to notice who can actually do something about it. Hang in there, we're all rooting for you and a lot of us are praying for you too.

Yes Rin, the situation in that town is obviously terrible but I'm not going to call all law enforcement people evil and vilify them all because of this. I believe there are good cops out there who take their oaths to heart, and good judges and good DAs too. I'm not going to tar the whole world with the same brush that county deserves.

I'm proud of RoPo for standing firm and refusing to back down it the face of the kind of situation she's had to deal with. That county is the worst of the worst but she's getting there inch by inch and fighting for every tiny bit of it!!! I hope that with her fight and anyone else who rubs their face in the dirt in their back yard, the place gets cleaned up! That's what it takes sometimes. like I said in my previous post, She's my HERO!

Ropo, I thought of this poem today when I read the updates. I really like this poem and feel it is a good motivator!

The Will to Win by Berton Braley

If you want a thing bad enough
To go out and fight for it,
Work day and night for it,
Give up your time and your peace and your sleep for it

If only desire of it
Makes you quite mad enough
Never to tire of it,
Makes you hold all other things tawdry
and cheap for it

If life seems all empty and useless without it
And all that you scheme and you dream is about it,

If gladly you'll sweat for it,
Fret for it, Plan for it,
Lose all your terror of God or man for it,

If you'll simply go after that thing that you want.
With all your capacity,
Strength and sagacity,
Faith, hope and confidence, stern pertinacity,

If neither cold poverty, famished and gaunt,
Nor sickness nor pain
Of body or brain
Can turn you away from the thing that you want,

If dogged and grim you besiege and beset it,
You'll get it!
