I get the distinct impression, though, that the uncle doesn't care about anyone but the uncle.. Based on what's been said here in previous posts about his reputation as someone you don't wanna get cross with, he seems more and more like a sociopath all the time.

One can only hope they'll flip the uncle's son and get him to testify against the old man in exchange for his own freedom, considering the uncle's son is probably the least at fault here. If he were to tell them that his dad (the uncle) specifically asked him to hide the horse from the law....and they were able to lock up the uncle....now THAT would be spectacular!

But shouldn't the uncle be held in contempt, because he was supposed to return the horse?? Why wasn't he arrested when he said he gave him away? He was also told not to do anything with Max, but he did.

Anyway, glad that you got him back. I hope that if it is the same Michael Ryals that is the head of the Cherokee County Round Up Club, that he is removed from the position.

I am SO glad this whole complicated mess finally worked out, and he's home! Hooray, Max! He's so pretty and looks happy to be back home.

I can't believe how small the fines are, that makes me mad. I hope there is more punishment down the road for these scummy people! But more than anything else, I'm just glad Max is home and safe with you.

They couldn't arrest the uncle since he claimed in court that Max wasn't on the property...so he wasn't concealing it on HIS terms. Well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

So both the leasee and his cousin are charged with criminal felony! But the Uncle gets away? That does not seem fair.

I know...I sit back and think "what's next?"

Nothing is EVER simple in the Rodriguez clan. Everything winds up being a big ordeal or adventure.

As for the civil suit, I just want those people in jail and forget them. I can't take any more stress in my life. I've made enemies in that town and never want to return to it.

After looking closer at the hooves, it's not to the hairline. There's at least a 1/2" of good hoof between the hairline and top of the crack. I called the farrier, but never got a return call. I'll be trying to call sometime tomorrow? If he doesn't call back, I'm moving on to a different farrier. Surely one of them will want my business.

If you have that much space from the hairline to the top of the crack, it doesn't sound too terrible. Hopefully a farrier in your area will get back to you quickly, although this is the busy season.
