Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

I still say talk to the guys that work the horses in the arenas. They won't put up with this crap. Tell them you will fix them a big huge steak dinner with baked potatoes and all if they can get your horse back. Guys go for yummy steaks for the tummy!!!!! It is well worth that!!!

The sad thing about that is, more than likely you let the theives complain they'll end up getting the system to work for them and he'll be in trouble for stealin his own horse back.. sad but true.

You don't have any other option. This is a civil case. It is not criminal, even though you feel like it is. Attorneys or police should have explained this to you? It's like those "rent to own" stores or like renting a house. It is a civil contract, not a criminal breaking of the law. Your only recourse would be civil court where you could repossess the animal and ask for damages. I know you are probably extremely upset, but under the current laws this is a civil issue.
I haven't read all 48 pages of posts (Sorry), but did read your first post. It really is a civil matter, not a criminal one due to the way the laws are written. And if the person who you contracted with files bankruptcy, you might never see the horse or any cash again.

Oh i feel for you, i'm so sorry this has taken so long,

I really hope some one helps you.

there is a new show on i can't remember what channale, but its INK something, it a bunch of hard core guys, that help animals, and they will hunt and stake out people just get the animals, i will look to see if i can fine the name of the show.

I really hope the best for you and your horse, my parys and thoughts are with you.

That is sure the way it looks to me too. Frankly, from what you've said of your 'attorney's' advice, I wonder whether he or she shouldn't maybe be reported to whatever's the state regulatory body for attorneys, as having given really stupid-wrong advice (I hope you did not pay him or her much of anything?)

Much sympathy, but I think you are back where you started, with the basic fact of it being a small-claims issue, all the best of luck to you,

Pat

I am so sorry to hear that your suffering continues, it hurts me to know that your animal has been stolen. Personally I know what I would do but I can't really expect you to as it is expensive. I would file the repo papers and turn it over to the repo company, then they can legally steal the horse back.
