No, it's still the same. Straight from the OHP who was finally able to get someone to call him back. The deputy who took my original report was the one who called him back and said that they had to have a civil stand-by signed in order to go out there.
But, no harm in calling tomorrow after I talk to the DA!

That's a Constitutional Law issue. The presence of the officer at a repossession not covered by a court order can be construed as "under color of law" and as a violation of due process.
OTOH, you are probably covered under "self help" if you or your agent go and get the horse as long as there's no breach of peace. If you do this, let the police know when and where you are performing the repossession before you go.

I've been quietly following along for a long time now & since his name is finally public, here's a public records link which shows the numerous times this young man has been in trouble with the law.
