Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

Sorry, yes. I was laid up with the flu...the lawyer actually called me while I was sick and I told him I wouldn't be able to form any plans until after the fever broke.

It broke 2 days ago and I'm feeling much better! Just in time for my birthday!

Update to story:
I tried contacting the local media, apparently nobody cares about a girl who had a horse stolen and is now being pushed around by the authorities...

I was afraid I was going to have to give up. I couldn't do anything because of money situations. Thankfully my dad galloped up on his white horse and said he would front the money for me. The lawyer sees no reason for me to not win the entire case, court costs and back rent from the person who I originally leased the horse to. So, I'm going to be able to go through the court system, get an court order and have my horse returned to me.

I am waiting to hear back from the lawyer on this but am at least feeling better than I did this morning when I was going to call and tell him I give. There was simply nothing more I could do.

You'll get him back....keep plugging away! Do you have any talk radio stations locally that you could call into to tell your story? The time has come for you to stop playing nice. This has gone on long enough and you should have had your horse returned one way or the other by now.

Somone in the media will listen. Start going through the newspapers, looking at bi-lines and contacting those folks. PITCH your story. Tell me you are ticked, they are going to get a nice personal interest story of woman screwed...a cautionary tale for anyone who leases or might choose to lease a horse in the future. Promise updates and follow ups with the court. Seriously. Sell it. Someone will pick it up.

On a separate note, I am glad your dad is helping and even gladder an attorney smells blood.

1stepcloser is on the right track. Do you have a friend who might could make the calls and sell it better since you don't feel real well right now?

NOOO, sell it yourself. There is nothing that sells better than personal affliction and feelings and anger and frustration from the one that is being harmed. NO one can sell it better than you!!!

This is absolutely hilarious. You are going to burst into tears over this one.

My lawyer quit. He said that "since I don't have a license in OK, it's going to cost you more for me to get a license in OK to go for this case." So, he says he's going to find me another lawyer that is licensed in both OK and AR.

How ridiculous is this?
