Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

Ok, I have gotten through this thread. UGH. All I can say is WOW what a mess! I pray you do get the ruling in your favor and are able to bring this poor horse home and bring him back to health. What a low life. Hope the judge adds some punishment to this guy for what he has done to you and the horse. Just horrible.

Asked a lawyer friend last night about how the decision would be delivered to the involved parties, and she said in a civil case, they MAIL the decision. Of course, she is not in Oklahoma, so who knows how they do it there.

Praying for a speedy resolution to this ugly situation.

Ah, but this is not a civil case.

The ownership hearing was done BECAUSE of a criminal case and I "believe" the criminal case is the only reason an ownership hearing was held. Otherwise, we would have needed to take it through small claims/ civil court.

The DA is supposed to call both of us with the decision.

Oh good! That should save some time. They didn't indicate that your ruling would have to wait for the criminal case to be concluded, did they?

Someone here in IN had there son's bday gift (48" pony) stolen right out of there paddock. The thieves put the pony in the back of a pickup truck and drove away... Its a wonder that no one was suspicious or saw them driving down the state highway.

In MI a few months ago, one of our 4-H leaders had a pony stolen out of her paddock. He has not been found yet
