Have been watching this thread in disbelief, and can only say, "Hon, you REALLY need to get a lawyer!!!" Sent this thread address to my daughter in Fargo, who was a legal secretary/paralegal for 20 years, and she was floored that something like this could be happening.
Along that line, while watching the news last evening on Channel 2 out of Tulsa, they were running a banner at the bottom of the screen, advertising that members of the Tulsa Bar Association were in the studio manning a phone bank for listeners to call in to have their legal questions answered. No charge for this service was ever mentioned, so I don't think there is one. They have the lawyers there on Tuesdays, 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, and the number of their phone bank is 918 748 1432. You will have to wait until next week Tuesday, but you need to give it a try; at the very least, they should be able to point you at some free lawyering.
I moved to OK two years ago from MT, and I miss having a horse, so have been looking for one. That search has now stopped, and I've started making plans to move elsewhere. When a state allows livestock to be sold at any auction without proof of ownership, and things like what you're experiencing can happen with seeming impunity, I'm getting out. I don't have your patience....I'd have long ago been booked into the county jail for beating SOMEBODY severely about the head and shoulders.
Good luck. Hope the TV thing can help you. Old Bat
