I'm glad that most of you took my lease the eggs comment in the vein in which it was intended. If we can't try to find a smile once in a while, the seriousness of life could push us over the edge.

Sorry, I've been reading the comments and replies, but not replying myself. Just too aggravated to bring myself to do it. I don't have any news. I will call again on Monday.

I would sell eggs, but I take my breeding very seriously...I don't like to supply eggs that may have some lacking genetics going on. I've noticed some things in my Langshan pens that don't have me jumping for joy. It's not a DQ, but still not what I'm after. They'll be excellent layers, just not what I'm looking for in breeders. I'm trying to see if it's just my imagination or a true fault. Some say I'm seeing things, others say it's something to look out for.


NOW, as for my "mutt" pen. You're bound to get anything...if the hens would stop being broody!!! lol! I have 4 in that pen alone, sitting on 30+ eggs. I'm still getting 10 eggs each day from them, but again, there's only a small chance it'd be pure Barred Rock.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I do have a friend that just got her undergrad in pre-law, just going to see if something can come of it. I doubt it, but you never know if she'll be able to make a call to someone.
